چکیده
Abstract Polarized spectroscopic photodetection enables numerous applications in diverse areas such as sensing, industrial quality control, and visible light communications. Although organic photodetectors (OPDs) can offer a cost‐effective alternative to silicon‐based technology—particularly when flexibility large‐area arrays are desired—polarized OPDs only beginning receive due research interest. Instead of resorting external polarization optics, this report presents polarized based on directionally oriented blends poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) benchmark polymer or nonfullerene acceptors fabricated using versatile solution‐based method. Furthermore, novel postprocessing scheme backfilling plasma etching is advanced ameliorate high dark‐currents that otherwise inherent fibrillar active layers. The resulting P3HT:N2200 exhibit broad enhancement across all principal figures merit compared reference isotropic devices, including peak responsivities 70 mA W −1 up threefold increase 3 dB bandwidth 0.75 MHz under parallel‐polarized illumination. Polarization ratios 3.5 obtained spectral range determined by the specific donor–acceptor combinations. Finally, proof‐of‐concept demonstration, used for photoelasticity analysis rubber films tensile deformation, highlighting their potential existing emerging optical sensing.

Low Noise, High Detectivity Photodetectors based on Organic Materials
Organic photodetectors (OPDs) are potentially useful in many applications because of their light weight, flexibility and good form factors. Despite the high detectivities that have been frequently reported for OPDs recently, the application of these OPDs for weak light detection has been rarely demonstrated. In this thesis, low noise, high gain photodetectors based on organic and ZnO nanopartic...

متن کاملOrganic narrowband near-infrared photodetectors based on intermolecular charge-transfer absorption
Blending organic electron donors and acceptors yields intermolecular charge-transfer states with additional optical transitions below their optical gaps. In organic photovoltaic devices, such states play a crucial role and limit the operating voltage. Due to its extremely weak nature, direct intermolecular charge-transfer absorption often remains undetected and unused for photocurrent generatio...
